Overview
Lutron Electronics is seeking an experienced Standards Development professional to help ensure continued market access by engaging with national and international standards and regulatory bodies. This position is based at Lutron’s global headquarters in Coopersburg, PA.
This role will lead the coordination, communication, and development of internal positions on evolving standards and regulations. Responsibilities include monitoring global regulatory changes, conducting market research, influencing standards development, and communicating impacts to internal stakeholders.
The position will focus on advancing Lutron’s strategy in standards and regulations related to lighting, motorized shades, and building management systems, while supporting global advocacy efforts and driving opportunities within building codes and performance standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop and align internal positions on emerging standards and regulations with business and engineering teams, and communicate those positions to external standards bodies and regulatory organizations.
- Maintain and strengthen Lutron’s leadership in key industry and professional organizations, supporting standards and regulatory development to ensure market access and drive business growth.
- Influence standards and regulations to support the best outcomes for Lutron and its customers.
- Represent Lutron in national and international standards, regulatory, industry, and government forums to build relationships and shape requirements.
- Monitor and communicate regulatory trends and updates to cross-functional stakeholders, ensuring organizational readiness and alignment.
- Operate in alignment with Lutron’s culture and values.
Qualifications
- BS/BA degree
- Minimum, cumulative GPA of 3.00 for each degree earnedOR 10+ years of professional experience post academics
- Experience with lighting, motorized/automated shades, or building management systems
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in a standards development, regulatory, industry relations or technical field
- 20% - 25% travel is required, including to industry committee meetings and Lutron locations.
- Understanding of standards development process preferred
- You are authorized to work in the U.S. and will not require Lutron to sponsor you for any work visa, such as an H-1B, either immediately or at any time in the future. Lutron does not offer work visa sponsorship for this position.
