Sales Engineer - Mobile Solutions - West Coast

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sales Engineer - Mobile Solutions - West Coast based in United States.

This is a remote technical sales role focused on driving growth through engineered mobile filtration solutions.
You will manage an assigned West Coast territory, with a strong focus on winning new customers and expanding project opportunities.
The role combines engineering knowledge, consultative selling, and commercial strategy to solve complex industrial and environmental challenges.
You will work directly with customers to understand their needs, assess applications, and recommend technically appropriate solutions.
As a trusted technical advisor, you will collaborate closely with engineering, operations, and customer service teams to deliver successful projects.
The position offers significant autonomy, meaningful customer interaction, and responsibility for a territory generating approximately $1–$3 million in revenue.
Regular regional travel will be an important part of the role, with the opportunity to make a measurable impact on both customer outcomes and business growth.

Accountabilities:

You will own sales growth across an assigned territory, combining technical expertise and commercial discipline to identify opportunities, develop solutions, and close new business.

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve or exceed territory revenue targets.
  • Focus primarily on generating sales growth through new customers, new projects, and expansion opportunities for mobile solutions.
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities across industrial, environmental, manufacturing, and related sectors.
  • Act as a technical expert on mobile filtration systems, providing consultative guidance and engineered solution recommendations.
  • Conduct customer site visits, system assessments, technical presentations, and solution discussions.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from opportunity identification and qualification through proposal development, negotiation, and closing.
  • Build strong customer relationships and understand technical and commercial requirements to develop high-value solutions.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and customer service teams to support successful project delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts, pipeline information, and activity reporting.
  • Monitor industry trends, regulations, competitive technologies, and market developments relevant to activated carbon and mobile filtration.
  • Represent the organization at trade shows, conferences, and other relevant industry events.
  • Manage territory travel effectively while maintaining strong customer engagement and sales momentum.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate combines technical understanding with proven B2B sales experience and the ability to independently manage a geographically distributed territory.

  • Reside in the U.S. West Coast region, preferably Southern California.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification from a four-year college or university.
  • At least 3 years of professional sales experience in water/wastewater processing, hydrocarbon processing, air/gas processing, emissions control, or a closely related technical industry.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment and effectively manage a regional sales territory.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regionally approximately 50–70%, depending on territory requirements.
  • Engineering or Chemistry education or professional background is preferred.
  • Experience with activated carbon, industrial filtration, environmental remediation, emissions treatment, or related technologies is an advantage.
  • Experience working with environmental, chemical, manufacturing, or industrial customers is preferred.
  • Experience selling aftermarket or service solutions into industrial markets is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of commercial terms and conditions to support contract negotiations is beneficial.
  • Strong technical curiosity and the ability to translate complex customer requirements into practical commercial solutions.
