Ideal Steel is seeking a Punch Operator to join our Broussard team. The Punch Operator sets up, operates, monitors, and maintains punch equipment to produce accurate parts according to work orders, drawings, and quality and safety requirements.

· Review work orders, drawings, tooling, and material requirements.

· Set up and operate punch equipment.

· Monitor machine operation and make authorized adjustments.

· Inspect parts for dimensions, hole patterns, identification, and defects.

· Record production activity, output, and material usage.

· Perform routine cleaning, tool care, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting.

· Coordinate with helpers, material handlers, and production leadership.

· Follow guarding, lockout, PPE, and housekeeping requirements.

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· Punch, CNC, fabrication, or machine-operation experience preferred.

· Ability to read drawings, measurements, and production information.

· Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting ability.

Work is performed primarily in a manufacturing, warehouse, or operational environment. The position must be able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds. Required PPE must be worn when applicable.
