OVERVIEW OF ROLE

As a Senior Product Analyst, you will bridge the gap between complex hardware/software engineering capabilities and market demands. You will be responsible for translating field-testing, usage data, and market dynamics into actionable insights that shape the product roadmap for our flagship navigation and robotics verticals. This is a high-impact role requiring deep data literacy, product discovery frameworks, and the ability to thrive in a deep-tech engineering environment.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Product Data Analytics & Insights

Own the end-to-end data pipelines for product performance, telemetry, and customer usage behavior.

Define, track, and report on core Product Team OKRs and feature adoption metrics.

Conduct complex data modeling to evaluate how software-enhanced hardware optimizations impact system performance across diverse applications (e.g., aerospace, maritime, mining).

2. Product Discovery & Strategy Support

Partner with Senior Product Managers to lead product discovery phases using data-backed hypotheses and design thinking frameworks.

Model ROI and conduct financial/strategic planning for new product updates, evaluating target commercial opportunities globally.

Perform competitive intelligence and market sizing analysis within the defense, autonomous vehicles, and subsea robotics sectors.

3. Cross-Functional Collaboration

Act as the analytical "glue" uniting R&D, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Support.

Synthesize raw technical field-testing data and customer support escalations into prioritized feature requests for engineering teams.

Collaborate with data engineering and platform teams to design, scale, and optimize internal product telemetry tools.

4. Ownership & Continuous Improvement

Drive accountability by establishing robust data-governance standards for how the product team measures success.

Champion a "Progress over Perfection" mentality by delivering rapid prototypes of dashboards and insights, iteratively refining them alongside product shifts.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree in a highly quantitative or technical field (e.g., Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science).
  • 5+ years of experience in an analytical role (Product Analyst, Data Analyst, Systems Analyst), preferably within a deep tech, robotics, SaaS-hardware hybrid, or high-reliability manufacturing organization.
  • Highly proficient in SQL and Python (or R) for advanced data analysis. Experienced with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI) to build high-density, interactive dashboards.
  • Comfort working around highly technical product concepts, such as Inertial Measurement Units (IMUs), GNSS, robotics, sensor fusion, or acoustics.
  • Familiarity with product analytics tools (e.g., Mixpanel, Amplitude) or custom cloud-based telemetry platforms.
  • Strong grasp of Agile methodologies and modern product management frameworks.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; able to explain complex statistical models to non-technical stakeholders and vice versa.
  • A curious mindset with an intrinsic drive to learn complex technical frameworks quickly.
  • Exceptional attention to detail combined with a bias for action and decisive problem-solving.
