Where You Come In
As our Dallas Distribution Center Manager, you’ll be responsible for leading the daily operations of our new distribution hub — ensuring orders are fulfilled accurately, trucks are loaded efficiently, deliveries are made on time, and the warehouse operates at peak safety and productivity.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll manage people, processes, and performance while building a strong operational foundation for a new and growing location. Alongside the Area Sales Manager and the Distribution Center & Field Operations Specialist, you’ll be one of the go-to leaders for everything Dallas — including assisting in the field when needed to meet customer and operational demands.
What You’ll Do
Operational Leadership
- Oversee daily distribution operations including shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, and warehouse logistics.
- Ensure accurate and efficient delivery scheduling and routing for job site drop-offs.
- Pull and load trucks as part of the daily workflow to support timely, accurate deliveries.
- Partner with the Area Sales Manager and other leaders to meet customer delivery expectations.
Field Support
- Assist in the field as needed, including supporting installations, repairs, or on-site problem solving.
- Work directly with customers and job sites to address urgent needs or delivery challenges.
Team Management
- Lead, train, and supervise warehouse and delivery staff, promoting a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork.
- Set clear performance expectations and hold team members accountable.
Inventory & Warehouse Management
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels and records.
- Ensure the warehouse is clean, safe, and compliant with OSHA and company standards.
- Optimize warehouse layout and processes for efficiency.
Vendor & Carrier Coordination
- Manage relationships with carriers, vendors, and service providers for transportation and logistics needs.
Performance Tracking
- Track, analyze, and report on KPIs related to distribution performance, cost control, and operational efficiency.
What You Bring
- 3+ years of experience in warehouse, distribution, or logistics management (building materials or construction industry preferred).
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to coach, develop, and motivate a team.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Experience using inventory systems and logistics software.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Forklift certification a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
Pay & Schedule
- Salary based on experience and market.
- Full-time, in-office role based in Dallas TX.
