Description:

King Cove Federal is seeking a Recruiting & Onboarding Specialist to lead recruiting and onboarding efforts across the organization. This role partners with HR, Operations, Finance, Contracts, IT, program leadership, and hiring managers to attract qualified candidates, coordinate onboarding, manage employment documentation, and support a consistent candidate and employee experience across multiple business units.

Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition & Recruiting

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting for corporate and contract roles.
  • Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements and candidate profiles.
  • Post openings, source candidates, and manage recruiting pipelines.
  • Screen resumes, conduct initial interviews, and coordinate hiring decisions.
  • Prepare offers, coordinate pre-employment steps, and maintain recruiting records.

Onboarding & Employee Experience

  • Coordinate onboarding from offer acceptance through start date.
  • Ensure completion of pre-employment and onboarding documentation.
  • Coordinate access, equipment, orientation, and new hire communications.
  • Track onboarding progress and support offboarding as assigned.

HR Operations Support

  • Maintain accurate recruiting and employee records.
  • Support personnel file management, HR workflows, and documentation compliance.
  • Prepare routine recruiting, onboarding, and HR reports.
  • Respond to employee inquiries with professionalism and discretion.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of recruiting, talent acquisition, or HR experience.
  • Experience managing multiple open requisitions simultaneously.
  • Experience using HRIS, ATS, or recruiting software platforms.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Recruiting for positions supporting Government Contracts.
  • Experience supporting distributed or remote workforces.
  • Hands-on experience with Paylocity or similar HR systems.
  • Experience coordinating onboarding and employee lifecycle activities.
  • Knowledge of employment laws, EEO, OFCCP, or related compliance requirements.
  • Knoxville, TN or Dayton, OH locations preferred
