Talent Acquisition Director

Position Type: Full-time, Exempt, Salary

Reports to: Vice President Human Resources

Supervisory Responsibility: Talent Acquisition Team

Location: Jacksonville, FL

Summary

As the Talent Acquisition Director, you will lead the talent acquisition strategy, drive innovative recruiting initiatives, and ensure the company attracts and hires the best talent. You will work closely with senior leadership to understand business goals and align talent acquisition efforts accordingly. Your role is crucial in building a strong employer brand and creating an exceptional candidate experience.

Essential Functions

  • Implements policies and procedures related to all phases of talent acquisition activities.
  • Establishes the application, evaluation, and screening process requirements for candidates to ensure the selection of optimal candidates.
  • Leads the development of innovative sourcing and recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
  • Collaborates with marketing to enhance employer brand.
  • Creates and maintains talent programs, such as internships and referral programs, to cultivate a robust talent pipeline.
  • Educates hiring managers on talent acquisition methods and programs and regulatory requirements.
  • Partners with department heads and senior leaders to understand hiring needs and priorities.
  • Manages, mentors, and develops the talent acquisition team to achieve recruitment goals.
  • Analyzes recruitment metrics and reports findings to senior management.
  • Measures the ROI of talent acquisition programs and activities.
  • Implement feedback mechanisms to continuously improve the candidate experience.
  • Researches, evaluates, and implements new recruitment sources, training, and strategies to optimize talent acquisition processes.
  • Manages budget and forecast for all talent acquisition programs.
  • Ensures compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations, including diversity initiatives.
  • Administers pre-employment tests to applicants.
  • Prepares for ISO 9001 and other audits.

Work Environment

This job generally operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at fabrication shops and job sites.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. This position may require occasional weekend work.

Required Education and Experience

  • A bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration or related field.
  • 7+ years of talent acquisition experience; three of those at a senior manager or director level in talent acquisition.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Experience with recruiting analytics.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • PHR certification.

Travel

Less than 10% travel is expected for this role.

Work Authorization

Must be authorized to work in the USA.
