About This Position
• This position is exempt.
• This position reports to the President.
• Salary for this position depends on experience.
• Supervise the Controller and maintain oversight responsibility of the assigned functions of the department.
• Be knowledgeable of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles as applicable to institutions of higher education.
• Be knowledgeable of federal financial management and reporting requirements applicable to the institution.
• Manage the evaluation of accounting systems for the College.
• Advise the CEO on long-range fiscal planning and resource allocation strategies, including capital acquisition and long-term financing options, and assist in the procurement of such financing when needed.
• Advise the CEO on investment strategies for the College.
Other skills important to this position:
• Leadership and extensive financial and budgetary administration experience in a higher education environment.
• Strong managerial and interpersonal skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Experience with higher education accreditation and reporting.
• Master of Business Administration or Accounting.
• Experience in the Chief Financial Officer role within higher education.
• Meet all qualifications as established by accrediting bodies.
Highly Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
• Certified public accountant (Active/inactive).
• Directly related experience within a health sciences university or similar institution.
• Directly related experience within a proprietary institution of higher education.

Work Schedule:
• Typically, Monday through Friday, 8 am-5 pm
• May occasionally require evenings and weekends.
