Charge Nurse, Emergency Center at Scotland Memorial Hospital – Laurinburg, North Carolina

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Charge Nurse to support the Director in leading the overall operations of our unit. This pivotal role involves managing both physical and human resources, driving recruitment and retention strategies, and ensuring the highest standards of patient care.

As a key leader on the unit, you will:

• Oversee daily operations and ensure seamless shift transitions.
• Serve as a role model in applying the nursing process and guiding clinical practice.
• Provide direction and support to nursing staff, ensuring optimal staffing and care delivery.
• Foster a collaborative and communicative environment across shifts.
• Champion quality improvement initiatives and staff development.
• Step into the Director’s role as needed to maintain continuity and leadership.

This position does not routinely involve direct patient assignments, allowing you to focus on leadership and operational excellence, while still being able to jump into patient care as necessary.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license in North Carolina or a compact state.
• 1–2 years of nursing experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
