What we need:

Natco is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our Accounting and Finance Team. This is a hybrid position based out of our West Warwick, RI corporate headquarters. The primary function of this role is to provide accounting support as well as identify and execute process improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and analytical, with a keen ability to adapt to change and continuously seek opportunities to drive operational enhancements.

What you’ll do:

• Maintain general ledger for various entities
• Prepare and record journal entries
• Perform all account reconciliations
• Maintain bank accounts and oversee the monthly reconciliation of these accounts
• Review and verify accurate inventory figures
• Identify and execute process improvement initiatives
• Interact with all levels of corporate accounting, as well as with personnel at division-level operations
• Assist with the preparation of the company’s financial statement package and analyze preliminary results
• Assist with the consolidation of financial statements, ensuring they are complete and accurate
• Review monthly financial performance and understand key drivers
• Support the annual financial statement review process conducted by third party auditors
• Assist with other projects or duties as directed by the Controller

What you’ll have:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or another related field required
• Minimum of 5-7 years of accounting experience preferred with a focus on financial reporting and analysis
• CPA preferred, but not required

What you’re good at:

• Strong mathematical, analytical, and technical accounting skills; accuracy and attention to detail
• In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUP’s and pivot tables
• MAPICS and/or Infor, or other integrated accounting systems experience is preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Outstanding interpersonal and team-building skills
• Self-directed to work well independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
• Solid organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize and manage a workload effectively
