About This Position
Currently, Aurora is seeking to hire a full-time experienced Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician.
Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor
Position Summary: Seeking a hands-on, experienced Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our team. This individual will work directly with our Maintenance team to ensure maintenance programs are executed in a safe, efficient, reliable manner. Responsibilities include hands-on maintenance of industrial manufacturing equipment and building. Strong electrical, mechanical and fabrication background is required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify, troubleshoot, and correct mechanical, operational, and electrical issues within manufacturing facility.
- Take appropriate steps to prevent and reduce maintenance downtime by participating in Preventative Maintenance plans.
- Communicate usage of plant spare parts/materials and work completed during the day.
- Ability to work independently without supervision.
- Install and maintain production machines and plant equipment.
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment during production.
- Perform scheduled maintenance repairs or modifications during machine downtime.
- Perform regular preventative maintenance of machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
- Use a variety of hand or power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment to perform duties.
- Follow 6S principles and maintain housekeeping and organization in entire plant.
- Knowledge of bearings, chains, belts, motors, pumps, valves, gearboxes, and rolls.
- Strong machining and welding knowledge and skills.
- Ability to read and interpret electric/hydraulic schematics, mechanical blueprints, and equipment manuals.
- Mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting/repair skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot PLC programs/control programs/circuits.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Technical certificate or degree preferred.
- 5-7 years related maintenance job experience within manufacturing setting
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the job
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite of programs
- Attention to detail, critical thinking, and time management skills
- ISO 9001/ISO 14001 knowledge helpful
- Actively participate in plant EH&S projects.
