Dreisilker Electric Motors is looking for a motivated Entry-Level Field Service Technician who is interested in building a career in the electric motor and industrial service industry.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands, solving mechanical and electrical problems, and learning how industrial equipment operates. Previous electric motor experience is not required. We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, mechanical or electrical aptitude, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to working safely.
You will work alongside experienced technicians while developing the skills needed to troubleshoot, maintain, remove, install, and service electric motors and related rotating equipment at customer facilities.
What You'll Do
As an Entry-Level Field Service Technician, you will receive hands-on training and gradually take on more responsibility as your knowledge and skills develop.
Responsibilities may include:
- Assist experienced Field Service Technicians at customer locations
- Assist with the removal and installation of electric motors, pumps, gearboxes, and other rotating equipment
- Perform basic mechanical inspections and equipment checks
- Assist with motor alignment, coupling installation, and equipment setup
- Learn proper use of precision measurement and alignment tools
- Assist with vibration testing and other condition-monitoring activities
- Learn basic electrical troubleshooting and testing procedures
- Assist with troubleshooting motors and associated electrical equipment
- Safely disconnect and reconnect equipment under proper supervision and training
- Take measurements, document equipment conditions, and record field-service findings
- Use hand tools, power tools, meters, and other field-service equipment
- Assist with rigging, lifting, and moving motors and industrial equipment
- Help prepare equipment, tools, and materials before traveling to customer sites
- Maintain company tools, equipment, vehicles, and work areas
- Complete service documentation accurately and professionally
- Communicate respectfully with customers and other Dreisilker employees
- Follow customer-specific safety requirements and Dreisilker safety procedures
- Participate in company training and continuing education
- Perform additional duties as skills and experience develop
