Overview

Obtains specimens for a variety of tests and procedures to be used in diagnosis and treatment of disease. Provides patient education on collection procedures. Performs registration for specimens not collected by laboratory personnel. Performs and results waived level lab testing.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy or equivalent training from an accredited program. Certification preferred but not required.
