HOSPICE OPERATIONS SUPPORT TECHNICIAN

Full Time

(Southern Pines Area)

Job Description:

• Assist in performing receptionist duties.
• Assist in managing incoming and outgoing mail.
• Process and enter daily reports of visits, flow notes, and medical supplies.
• Establish and maintain client medical records in accordance with agency policy and procedure.
• Order, receive, and stock medical supplies and maintain inventory control in accordance with established agency policy and procedure.
• Assist in performing cross-training.
• Implement infection and exposure control measures in accordance with the agency exposure control plan.
• Perform miscellaneous clerical functions in an accurate and timely manner.

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two (2) years of general office experience and data entry experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and knowledge of telephone etiquette.
• Ability to communicate clearly, using good grammar.
• Strong computer skills to include working knowledge of most commonly use software programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.).
• Ability to type 45 to 50 WPM and proficiency with a 10-key calculator.
• Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to read and interpret policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Strong knowledge in medical terminology.
