About the Role:
The Infusion Nurse - RN plays a critical role in providing high-quality patient care through the administration of intravenous therapies and medications. This position requires a deep understanding of infusion techniques, patient assessment, and monitoring to ensure optimal outcomes for patients receiving treatment. The Infusion Nurse will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each patient's needs. Minimum Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent nursing degree.
- At least 2 years of nursing experience, with a focus on infusion therapy or critical care.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Infusion Nursing (CRNI) or similar specialty certification.
- Experience in a retail or outpatient healthcare setting.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Responsibilities:
- Administer intravenous medications and therapies according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions and complications during and after infusion therapy.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' health status and document findings accurately in electronic health records.
- Educate patients and their families on the infusion process, including preparation, administration, and aftercare.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and adjust care plans based on patient needs and responses.
Skills:
