Monday - Friday Schedule 12pm - 9pm Schedule

Our Clarke Vehicare team is currently looking for an experienced Truck Mechanic - Mobile Service Truck Diesel Technician to keep up our level of commitment to safety and customer service. In this role, Technician will perform truck repair and maintenance work in accordance with factory and industry standards, run diagnostics on vehicles and work closely with other team members to meet company goals.

What are the duties?

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs PMIs on tractors, trailers and other diesel-powered equipment.
  • Perform all types of brake, steering & suspension, electrical, and A/C, & minor engine repairs.
  • Test drive vehicles under 26,000 GVW.
  • Mobile Service Truck Road Calls
  • Assist other technicians when needed.
  • Work in the shop, as needed
  • Must be able to work independently.

PHYSICAL and SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

  • While performing the duties of this job, the associate will be required to move frequently, stand, walk, and sit. The associate is frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and reach with hands and arms.
  • The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs with assistance.
  • The associate must be able to read and write reports.
  • Implement and enforce Health and Safety rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and prescribed instructions.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience REQUIRED
  • Experience with OM and aftermarket diagnostic software is REQUIRED
  • Preferred- One year certificate from college or technical school, with related repair experience, OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, Registrations

  • Must have a valid driver's license with no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents on driving record within the last 3 years.
  • No drug or alcohol-related conviction on driving record in the past 5 years (ie., DUI/DWI).
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
  • Must be able to obtain DOT Med Card
  • Preferred - CDL or ability to acquire CDL
  • Preferred - ASE certifications.
