Registered Nurse Staff at Willis-Knighton Health System – Shreveport, Louisiana

WKH is looking for a mid shift nurse to join our Emergency Department. Canidates will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care. The mid shift hours are fast-paced with a variety of medical emergencies. The nurse will conduct thorough assessments of patients, including physical exams and review of medical history. The adminstration of medications and treatments as prescribed by a physicians. Provide emergency care, monitor vital signs, overall condition, while making necessary adjustments to care as needed. Collaborate with physicians, nurses and other healthcare team members to ensure proper care of the patient. Documentation is done properly and accurately according to WKH policy. Educate patients and families regarding health conditions, treatments as well as discharge instructions. Strong criticial thinking, decision making and problem-solving skills are needed. The ability to multitask and priortize patient care is required.
