About This Position
DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTION
Under the direction of the Administrative Director, Radiation Oncology Chairman and Section VP of Diagnostic and Clinical Services, manage the administrative, informational, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, clinical performance compliance and operational functions of all patient care sections of the department.This person manages staffing concerns, collaborating on resource utilization, resolving performance management issues, as well as managing clinical activities. Consistently practices, advocates for and ensures customer service standards of Ownership, Appearance, Communication, Commitment to Coworkers, Privacy, waiting customers, Safety awareness, and Comfort and Attitude are practiced by all staff. Responsible for the supervision and day-to-day operation of the Radiation Oncology area along with ACR or ASTRO department accreditation.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.)
A.
Experience:
Five years of experience in radiation therapy with demonstrated sound clinical skill.
Management and supervisory experience preferred however demonstrated abilities and education programs attended considered.
B.
Education and Training:
Baccalaureate Degree in Radiation Oncology or Business Administration or equivalent experience required.
Master's Degree preferred.
C.
License, Certification & Registration:
ARRT(T) - Radiation Therapy.
MALIC - Mass Radiography License.
ARRT(RTR) - Registered Technologist Radiography.
D.
Other Requirements:
Demonstrate professional and mature judgment.
Excellent communication skills. Demonstrated skill in customer service and physician relations.
Demonstrated leadership abilities: formal and informal.
