Samaritan Health Services in Oregon has an opportunity for a Pulmonology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Associate
Samaritan Health Services, a non-profit integrated health care delivery system, is seeking a full-time Pulmonology APC to join our team in Corvallis, OR. Based at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center, a level 2 trauma center, Samaritan Pulmonology provides consultation and care of diseases affecting the respiratory system, including treatment for COPD/asthma, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary vascular disease and thoracic malignancy.

Job Specifics
- Manage a panel of patients largely focusing on obstructive lung diseases
- Collaborate with pulmonologists in the outpatient setting
- 15-20 patients per day
- 34 patient facing hours/week
- Handles urgent appointments for established pulmonary medicine patients and new patient visit/follow ups
- On-site Pulmonary Function Lab
- Hospital employed

Job Requirements
- The successful candidate will be responsible for clinical management of pulmonary patients, patient education, follow up, interpretations of diagnostics, medication management, and responding to patient questions on a variety of medical issues
- Diagnose and treat acute, episodic or chronic pulmonary illnesses
- Prescribe all necessary medications and treatments
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations of patients
- Develop and implement patient management policies and procedures
- Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
- Communicate with collaborating physician or specialist regarding patient care
- Should possess excellent clinical skills, communication skills, and a strong commitment to providing excellent care that is team oriented.
