Position Description:

We’re seeking an Activity Specialist to plan and lead engaging activities that enrich the lives of individuals we serve. In this role, you’ll design and facilitate programs that support physical, mental, and emotional wellness—all while ensuring a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Plan and implement group and individual activities tailored to participants’ needs.
  • Organize special events and select activities that fit the occasion and population served.
  • Facilitate engaging, therapeutic experiences that promote health and well-being.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure activities align with individual care goals.
  • Document activities and progress in medical records accurately and on time.
  • Demonstrate cultural and age-appropriate sensitivity in all interactions.
  • Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, behavioral sciences, or related field (preferred)
  • Experience

  • For Title 9-CCR contracts, 2 years of experience in a mental health program serving individuals with severe and persistent mental illness (required)
  • A bachelor’s degree in a human services field may substitute for experience.
  • Experience working in a mental health setting (preferred)
  • Licenses/Certifications

  • Valid driver’s license, as the position may require driving company vehicles (preferred)
