Overview
Lutron Electronics Co., Inc. has an immediate opening for a Fabric Product Manager located in Coopersburg, PA. In this role, you will lead the development and lifecycle management of the fabric portfolio supporting Lutron’s Window Systems business. You will serve as the internal champion for our fabric offering, ensuring fabrics across all shading products meet customer expectations for performance, quality, and design. Apply your expertise in textiles, materials, and product portfolio management to evaluate new fabrics, guide product launches, and continuously improve our fabric selection to meet evolving market demands.
Working cross-functionally with engineering, sales, marketing, and operations, you will translate customer insights into initiatives that strengthen Lutron’s shading portfolio and support continued business growth. You will also partner with global fabric suppliers to identify new capabilities, materials, and innovations that elevate the customer experience. This is a highly collaborative and visible role that blends technical expertise, market awareness and product leadership to shape the fabrics that define Lutron's window treatment solutions.
Responsibilities
• Manage and curate the full fabric portfolio across all shading products, including lifecycle management
• Conduct market research and translate customer insights into portfolio improvements
• Partner with Sales and customers to identify opportunities that support growth in the Shades business
• Collaborate with Fabric Engineering to guide development of new fabrics and technical capabilities
• Plan and execute fabric launches, defining naming, pricing, families, and portfolio positioning
• Prioritize initiatives based on business needs and cross-functional capacity
• Develop and oversee physical and digital fabric tools including binders, samples, and digital platforms
• Support fabric representation across websites, customer tools, tradeshows, and industry platforms
• Create and deliver training materials for internal teams and external channel partners
• Manage supplier relationships, coordinating development needs, launch forecasting, and supplier visits
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required – degree in Textile Engineering, Textile Design, Textile Technology, Materials Science, Polymer, Color Chemistry, or related field preferred
- 10+ years of professional experience post academics
- 3+ years of experience working with textiles, fabrics, materials, or product portfolios
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally with engineering, sales, and marketing teams
- Ability to manage product or material portfolios and support new product launch
- Willingness to travel 10-15% to domestic and international manufacturing facilities
