About the Role:
The Facilities Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of manufacturing facilities. This position is responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance tasks including construction repairs, plumbing, and general upkeep to prevent equipment downtime and maintain a safe working environment. The technician will conduct preventive maintenance to identify and resolve potential issues before they escalate, thereby supporting continuous production processes. They will also interpret technical instructions and blueprints to execute repairs accurately and efficiently. Ultimately, the Facilities Technician ensures that all facility systems and infrastructure operate reliably to support the overall manufacturing objectives.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of relative experience in facilities maintenance in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency with basic hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices.
- Ability to comprehend and interpret technical instructions and blueprints.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing, construction, and preventive maintenance practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical certification or vocational training in facility maintenance, HVAC, or plumbing.
- Experience working in a manufacturing industry setting.
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems and safety regulations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on facility equipment and infrastructure to minimize downtime.
- Conduct repairs related to plumbing, construction, and general maintenance using appropriate hand and power tools.
- Interpret and follow technical instructions, blueprints, and safety protocols to complete maintenance tasks accurately.
- Utilize measuring devices to assess and verify the condition and alignment of equipment and structures.
- Collaborate with facility management and other departments to prioritize maintenance requests and ensure compliance with safety standards.

The Facilities Technician uses construction and plumbing skills daily to perform repairs and maintain facility infrastructure, ensuring operational continuity. For California, the salary pay range for this role is $19.93 per hour - $34.08 per hour
