Title: Information Systems Intern

Location: Nacogdoches Mental Health Clinic
About the Role
Burke is seeking motivated Information Systems Interns to support the I.S. Department during the summer. This role assists with basic IT operations and provides hands-on learning opportunities in a nonprofit healthcare environment.
This position is ideal for students interested in information technology, computer systems, or gaining real-world IT experience.
What You'll Do
- Provide basic technical support for staff
- Assist with computer setup and user accounts
- Help with system updates and equipment tracking
- Support documentation of IT processes and procedures
- Participate in small IT-related projects
- Shadow I.S. staff to learn daily operations
What We're Looking For
Required:
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a program in IT, Computer Science, or related field
- Basic computer and troubleshooting skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
Preferred:
- Some experience with IT support or troubleshooting
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and general computer systems

Work Schedule
- Monday-Friday
- 20-30 hours per week
Compensation
- $7.25 an hour
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit for extended periods
- Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent computer use and hand/finger dexterity
