Description:

Position Summary:

The Director of Sales reporting directly to the President is responsible for driving referral growth and expanding market presence for Medicine Express. This role develops and executes LTC sales and marketing strategies, manages a CRM-driven pipeline, and builds strong relationships with key healthcare partners through consistent field-based engagement. The Director of Sales collaborates with executive leadership to identify target accounts, shape growth strategy, and deliver measurable increases in facility contracts, patient census, and revenue.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with assisted living facilities, memory care communities, hospice organizations, and physician offices
  • Conduct regular in-person visits to referral sources to strengthen partnerships
  • Represent Medicine Express at community events, healthcare networking functions, and industry meetings to build brand visibility and referral opportunities
  • Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities within target markets to support long-term growth strategy
  • Assist in developing and executing a structured marketing plan for LTC services
  • Coordinate marketing campaigns, educational events, and in-service presentations for facilities and providers
  • Support creation of marketing materials, presentations, and sales collateral aligned with Medicine Express branding
  • Establish and reinforce consistent messaging around pharmacy services, clinical programs, and key differentiators across all outreach efforts
  • Build, manage, and optimize a CRM-based sales pipeline, ensuring accurate tracking of leads, follow-ups, and conversions
  • Develop and standardize outreach processes, referral tracking, and follow-up workflows
  • Collaborate with leadership to define target accounts, prioritize market opportunities, and shape overall growth strategy
  • Track, analyze, and report on key sales metrics and business development performance to inform strategy and execution
  • Drive measurable growth in new facility contracts, patient census, and revenue across assigned markets
  • Consistently meet or exceed defined monthly and quarterly activity and growth targets tied to organizational objectives
  • Provide regular reporting on pipeline activity, conversion rates, and market feedback
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications, Education and/or Experience:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or related field, preferred.
  • Three to five (3-5) years of experience in sales, marketing, or healthcare-related role, required
  • A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required
  • Experience using CRM systems to manage pipeline activity, forecasting and reporting
  • Demonstrated ability to build and execute strategic sales and marketing plans
  • Demonstrated knowledge of pharmacy services and post-acute care settings, including assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, independent living, hospice, and physician groups
  • Demonstrated ability to build and execute strategic sales and marketing plans
  • Strong accountability for metrics, outcomes, and pipeline performance
  • Willingness to travel locally (50% field-based role)

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand/move, communicate, and identify written information. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and lift and/or move up to 20 pounds independently; occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with assistance.
  • A minimum of 50% travel is required, primarily for local, field-based engagement with referral sources and healthcare partners
  • This position is based onsite at the pharmacy when not engaged in field travel
  • This role may require occasional early morning, evening, or weekend work to support events, in-services, and networking activities
  • Ability to remain in a seated or standing position for extended periods during meetings, presentations, and events
