About This Position
We are seeking a motivated, technically skilled, and reliable Field Services Associate Technician to support the deployment and configuration of equipment for one of our most valued cornerstone clients. This associate-level role is critical to delivering a seamless customer experience, encompassing everything from pre-deployment staging in our facility, to hands-on installation at customer sites. The ideal candidate is comfortable working early morning hours (typically 4:00 AM – 10:00 AM) to minimize disruption to our client's business operations and brings a strong sense of ownership and professionalism to every engagement.

This role reports to the Sr. Managing Consultant
Requirements:ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:
This position primarily operates during standard business hours, aligned with Aspire’s core schedule for staging, configuration, and internal coordination activities. However, this role also supports customer-facing field installations, which are often scheduled during off-hours windows (typically between 4:00 AM – 10:00 AM) to minimize disruption to client operations. These installations are planned in advance and scheduled based on project requirements.
Flexibility in working hours is required, with adjustments made to the workday when early-morning or off-hours installations are scheduled.
Equipment Staging & Configuration
• Receive, inspect, and inventory incoming customer equipment at our facility.
• Stage and configure equipment (hardware and software) according to client-specific specifications and project documentation.
• Perform pre-deployment testing to verify that all equipment is functioning correctly prior to shipment or installation.
• Label, organize, and prepare equipment for transport to customer locations.
• Maintain accurate staging logs and documentation throughout the pre-deployment process.
Field Installation
• Travel to customer locations to perform professional, clean, and efficient equipment installations.
• Execute installations during off-hours windows to accommodate client operational schedules with minimal business disruption.
• Follow site-specific installation plans, rack diagrams, and cable layouts provided by the project team.
• Coordinate with onsite client contacts to gain access, verify readiness, and ensure smooth installation execution.
• Conduct post-installation testing and validation to confirm all equipment is operational prior to handoff.
• Obtain client sign-off upon successful completion of each installation.
Documentation & Communication
• Maintain clear and detailed records of all work performed, including staging checklists, installation notes, and issue logs.
• Update ticketing and warehouse management systems in real time throughout each engagement.
• Communicate proactively with the project coordinator and internal team leads regarding progress, issues, or scope changes.
• Escalate technical issues promptly and accurately to senior technicians or engineering staff when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
• Foundational knowledge of IT hardware, networking basics, and infrastructure components (servers, switches, cabling)
• Ability to read and follow technical documentation, rack diagrams, and installation guides
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to manage time effectively and work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to represent the company professionally onsite
• Comfortable working early morning schedules on a regular basis
• Ability to lift and move equipment (up to 50 lbs) and work in data center or equipment room environments
• Experience using ticketing systems or similar tools for documentation
• A+ certification or equivalent hardware troubleshooting experience preferred.
• Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
SUCCESS METRICS
• Consistent on-time completion of staging and installation milestones within project schedules.
• High accuracy in equipment configuration with zero or minimal rework required post-deployment.
• Positive client feedback and satisfaction scores following onsite installation engagements.
• Timely, complete, and accurate documentation in all ticketing and warehouse management systems.
Demonstrated reliability and professionalism during off-hours site visits
Minimum Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience in a field services, IT support, or hardware technician role (internship or lab experience considered).
- Knowledge and understanding of incident and change management processes
- Basic knowledge of hardware, systems, operating systems.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Associate's degree or technical certification in IT, electronics, or a related field preferred.
- Basic familiarity with computer hardware components (drives, RAM, cables, network ports).
- CompTIA A+ certification is a strong plus
TRAVEL:
This role will require travel greater than 50% to Customer installation locations. Anticipated travel will be within NY, NJ, CT, and PA however there may be the need for overnight accommodations.
