Inventory Management Lead

AquaPhoenix Scientific, located in Hanover, PA has an immediate opening for an energetic detail-oriented Inventory Management Lead to join our growing logistics team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with proven experience in inventory operations and looking to expand their career with a fast-growing, well-established company.

The Inventory Management Lead plays a critical role in overseeing inventory accuracy processes, stock levels, and warehouse organization. The position serves as SME resource on the floor to ensure efficient tracking and placement of incoming/outgoing inventory, address headwinds, and minimize discrepancies – all of which will contribute to our operational excellence. Above all this individual must be willing to roll up their sleeves, be confident to make qualified decisions, and provide proactive direction/guidance to the support teams.

Key areas of responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Perform daily counts of on-hand raw material and finished goods; reconcile any inventory discrepancies and appropriately relocate inventory when necessary.
  • Support daily inventory operations, including receiving, storage, and distribution
  • Serve as a SME to questions from support team and others.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management systems
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and audits to ensure accuracy
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies
  • Lead and train inventory team members
  • Collaborate with purchasing, logistics, and warehouse
  • Optimize inventory processes to improve efficiency and reduce waste
  • Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment
  • Prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ensure all tasks are conducted through to completion with a high level of attention to detail, quality, and specifications throughout the inventory process.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area while working under minimal supervision.
  • Safely operate a forklift, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment for material handling purposes and pass all Company forklift training per OSHA mandate.
  • AquaPhoenix Scientific considers applicants with diverse backgrounds, education, and work experience; however, applicants for the Inventory Management Lead position will frequently have a combined education and/or work experience that is a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent and at least two - five years’ work experience in inventory, manufacturing, and/or similar role.

    Other helpful skills and qualifications include:

  • Resolve quality control issues regarding inventory that is damaged or in poor condition.
  • Proficient computer skills required to enter data, print/track orders, and perform numerous tasks related to production, inventory and continuous improvement process.
  • Familiarity and knowledge of ISO9001 standards, Lean manufacturing, and Kanban initiatives.
  • Knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office products such as Outlook.
  • Able to work overtime as required to meet business needs.
  • Speak, read, and write English and interpret SOPs, manuals, and/or instructions.
  • Wear appropriate PPE as required by Company and OSHA standards.
  • Demonstrate a positive work ethic and a sense of urgency in completing work assignments; maintaining a proactive “can do” approach to all responsibilities.
  • Able to stand, sit, move, bend, twist for extended periods of time and safely lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Execute assignments in an ethical, accurate, timely, and safe manner with the ability to perform tasks through to completion.
