About This Position

As an OTA Lead at Monarch House your primary responsibility is implementing interventions for children and youth with autism spectrum disorder or other developmental delays and/or motor delays. Your role is to execute intervention plans developed and supervised by a Registered Occupational Therapist to clients in care of Monarch House.

Provisionally registered OT or CSHBC eligible candidates are encouraged to apply

Work setting: Center-based in Abbotsford
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, between 9am-6:30pm PST
Saturdays till 4PM PST

Take an inside look at what you will do each day:

  • Communication with family/client and supervisor on session progress
  • Implementation of treatment plans based on best practices.
  • Prepares teaching materials and organizes teaching environment
  • Responsible for creating a positive and engaging environment for the client
  • Responsible for maintaining the well-being and safety of the client while under their care
  • Responsible to track client progress through the collection of data and graphing while keeping clients engaged

Here is what you will need to be successful

  • Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapist (OT)
  • Experience and familiarity with assessment tools (standardized tests, etc.)
  • Knowledge of current research and literature in the Occupational Therapist (OT) field
  • Member of COTBC / COTO / ACOT or eligible to apply
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to take initiative
  • Flexibility in scheduling clients
