Join our Team as a Third-Party Vendor Manager!
As Orion180s Manager of Third-Party Vendors, you will oversee relationships with external vendors, ensuring they meet performance, cost, and compliance goals. Managing the vendor lifecycle (selection, onboarding, monitoring, and possible termination), acting as a bridge between Orion180 and its vendors. We are seeking a detail-oriented professional with the drive to organize and communicate effectively. The ideal candidate can thrive in a collaborative environment but also take ownership and deliver independently. You’ll manage relationships across multiple departments of Orion180, including Product, Technology, Sales, and Customer Experience, to ensure vendors meet department and company standards.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Vendor Lifecycle Management: Managing the overall vendor process from selection, due diligence, onboarding, performance monitoring, and termination.
- Contract & Negotiation: Assisting with contract negotiations, ensuring favorable terms, and managing renewals.
- Performance Monitoring: Tracking vendor performance against Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and key metrics, ensuring quality delivery.
- Cost Optimization: Seeking opportunities to manage expenses, drive discounts, and improving cost-effectiveness.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in similar work.
- Industry Experience: 3+ years of experience in vendor management. Experience within P&C insurance a plus.
- Management Experience: Positive leadership experience with the ability to manage performance.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with product life cycles.
- Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively—both written and verbally—across all levels of the organization.
- Entrepreneurial Drive: Proven ability to achieve ambitious goals in an innovative and demanding environment.
- Strategic Thinking: Excellent organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to develop strategies informed by research, data, and industry trends.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

The office environment is fast-paced and collaborative. An employee must be willing and able to work their regularly assigned work schedule onsite, and in times of need, be able to work an extended schedule depending on company or departmental needs, project requirements, or customer demands.
While performing general duties for this position, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and/or walk around (including the use of stairs). Other demands include the ability to openly communicate with others by talking, listening, comprehending, and reading; being able to lift light objects (<25 lbs); and using standard office equipment such as computers, printers, and phones. In addition, there is an occasional need to bend, twist, or squat down to open/close cabinets and reach for files or other standard office-type objects.
