Department: Administration
Location: Allentown, PA
Work Schedule: Full Time / In Person – Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Reports To: Office Manager

Job Summary

The Front Desk Receptionist supports PATHS’ mission by serving as the first point of contact for visitors, callers, and staff at the Allentown, PA office. This role ensures professional front-office operations, accurate handling of communications and administrative tasks, and contributes to a welcoming and organized workplace environment while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with company policies.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Answer incoming telephone calls and direct callers to appropriate staff members.
  • Greet visitors and maintain a professional, welcoming front-office environment.
  • Provide callers with general company information, including office address, directions, fax numbers, and website details.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries.
  • Monitor and maintain office supply inventory and notify management of ordering needs.
  • Perform general administrative and clerical support duties as assigned.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive and proprietary information.
  • Complete all required initial PATHS training (HIPAA, compliance, security, role-specific workflows) within onboarding timelines.
  • Participate in required ongoing training and demonstrate ability to apply new information in daily work.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:

Required Skills & Abilities

  • Bilingual (English & Spanish) Required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced office environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • One (1) to two (2) years of office or administrative experience required.
Physical & Environmental Requirements
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Frequent interaction with staff, visitors, and vendors in an office setting.
  • Occasional lifting of office materials up to 15 pounds.

Pre-Employment Requirements

Offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of applicable screenings consistent with federal, state, and local laws.

Compensation: $15/hour (actual range provided in postings as required by applicable state pay transparency laws).
