About This Position
Barton & Gray Mariners Club is dedicated to providing its Members with unmatched experiences on the water, operating over 90 Yachts in 33 harbors, and offering a range of products including Day-boating, Sport-fishing, Overnight Cruising, and more.
The Strategic Partnership Manager plays a key role in supporting the Partnership, corporate membership and event-related growth for Barton & Gray Mariners Club. This position works closely with the Partnership & Event Director and VP, Sales & Business Development to identify, develop, negotiate and close strategic opportunities while representing the brand at the highest level. This is a management-level position based in Boston but requiring a significant in-market presence, relationship building and travel.
Primary Responsibilities:Research, identify, and qualify partnership and corporate membership opportunitiesProactively source and develop new club partnerships and corporate membership prospectsDevelop, negotiate and close approved opportunitiesCultivate strong relationships with members and industry affiliates to develop strategic lead generationPresent as an ambassador by hosting prospect events, engaging with members and entertaining industry influencersCollaborate cross-functionally with Barton & Gray department heads, membership sales team, event team, and member services teamEnsure an excellent customer and partner experience by embodying company hospitality standardsAccurately track all activities, communications, and opportunities in the CRM and leverage data to inform strategyProvide general administrative and sales-cycle support as neededPerform additional duties as assigned
Required Skills & AbilitiesPassion for yachting, luxury experiences, and hospitalityAbility to travel and entertain 50% or more of the time4+ years of quantifiably successful partnership, sales and marketing experienceProven ability to manage a sales cycle and close opportunitiesExperience interacting with High-Net-Worth individuals with maturity and discretionMust enjoy providing exemplary customer serviceAbility to create proposals, contracts, collateral, and deliver presentationsAbility to work independently and within a team environmentEffective use of CRM tools (Salesforce, Highrise, Zoho, etc.)
Education & ExperienceCollege degree requiredExcellent analytical, communication, entertaining and marketing skillsComputer literacy; proficiency in Mac applications, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce (or similar)Strong references (background check required)
Physical RequirementsAbility to sit, stand, or walk for extended periodsAbility to work on a computer for extended periodsAbility to lift and carry 25 lbs
