We are currently looking for a Head of Controlling who will be integral to driving high-level performance across Lovehoney Group.

In this role you will oversee the financial management of all departments related to product brands. Your mission is to elevate performance transparency across Brand & Marketing, Product, Production/Factory, and Sourcing, while driving modern, data-driven controlling practices. Additionally, you will serve as the Financial Business Partner for the leadership of the B2B and Marketplaces sales channels.

You will play a pivotal role in shaping financial strategy, strengthening data quality, and enhancing decision-making across the organization. This is a high-impact leadership position with visibility across the full value chain.

What you will do
  • Lead and further develop a high-performing Controlling team of up to five in Germany and China, ensuring a strong link between team objectives and corporate strategy.
  • Own and develop the controlling of the financial performance of the product brands, which includes product margin transparency, pricing analytics, product profitability steering, and financial performance reviews of Marketing activities.
  • Act as a strategic business partner to senior leadership, providing actionable insights that support profitable growth and operational excellence.
  • Ensure robust product costing, standard cost updates, and cost transparency across the value chain.
  • Partner with Production, Factory Management, and Sourcing to track product cost developments and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Support the FP&A Director and their team in the preparation of budgets and forecasts by providing reliable actuals and variance analyses. The FP&A team works in a scalable and consistent way across the group in regards to reporting and forecasting utilising an integrated Planning & Reporting Platform (Pigment).
  • Close collaboration with the leadership of both the B2B and the (Amazon-)Marketplaces sales channels, which includes regular financial analyses and support in financial planning and decision-making.
  • Ensure and improve the weekly & monthly business review processes and support the FP&A team to deliver consistent insights to leadership teams.
  • Develop user-friendly dashboards, enable self-service business intelligence for operational teams, and support the standardization of financial data models to ensure high-quality, automated reporting.
  • Drive digital transformation in Controlling through automation and AI-supported analytics, and support liquidity planning and contribute to risk management activities in collaboration with Finance leadership.
What you should bring
  • Several years of experience in Controlling, ideally in an international or multi-brand environment.
  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to build and develop high-performing teams.
  • Strong expertise in product cost accounting, margin analysis, and performance steering.
  • Experience with modern ERP and BI systems (e.g. NetSuite, BigQuery, Superset, Power BI, Pigment).
  • Advanced analytical skills and experience working with complex datasets.
  • Experience with digital FP&A processes and automated reporting, ideally including AI-driven analytics tools.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership.
  • Degree in Finance, Controlling, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
