We are looking for an experienced accountant seeking a flexible work arrangement to help support the accounting and financial operations of our operating businesses.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys accounting work but is looking for a schedule that allows them to balance work with other responsibilities in life. The position offers meaningful and interesting accounting work without the demands of a traditional full-time role.

We welcome experienced accountants who may be returning to the workforce or looking for a flexible schedule while continuing to use their professional skills.

You will help support accounting and financial operations across several businesses including our restaurant group, marine construction company, and real estate entities. Our companies operate in the middle market and generate significant business activity, which provides a variety of practical accounting work.

Core Responsibilities

Record and maintain accurate journal entries across multiple operating entitiesAssist our HR Manager with payroll processing and payroll-related accounting entriesPerform account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial recordsHelp to prepare financial reporting packagesAssist in tracking of key performance indicators for the businessReview and analyze cash flow trends to help inform short-term payment decisionsAssist with general financial analysis and reporting used by leadership to manage the businessHelp maintain organized accounting systems and reporting processes

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance3–10+ years of accounting experienceStrong understanding of general accounting principlesProficiency in ExcelFamiliarity with accounting systems and financial reportingHigh attention to detail and strong organizational skillsAbility to work independently and manage responsibilities within a flexible schedule

Preferred but not required:
