Job Description
The Commercial Sales team is expanding and is hiring for a Business Development Manager (outside sales). You’ll drive new business in new territories, prospect and close deals, build lasting client relationships, and represent our brand with world class service.
Market: Greater Allentown, PA area
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- Committed to the values of initiative, responsibility, caring relationships, integrity, and innovation
- Proficient in computer technology including Word, Excel, and e-mail
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
- Able to develop commercial customer proposals, sales and profit assumptions
- Valid driver's license, access to a motor vehicle and capacity to travel
- Must have at least 3 years of Sales experience
Responsibilities:
- Exceed budgeted gross profit margins for Natural Gas, Propane, Mobile Fueling, Electricity and Wholesale Fuels
- Develop an assigned sales territory to sell commercial products. Natural Gas, Propane, Mobile Fueling, Electricity, and Wholesale Fuels
- Enter new prospects into Salesforce daily
- Maintain contact schedule and record into Salesforce daily
- Complete all contracts, paperwork, and procedures involved in the sales process
- Attend weekly sales meetings and other required company meetings
- Communicate with customers to resolve problems and concerns in a courteous, professional, and timely manner
- Participate in training with the designated Product Leaders for products sold in assigned territory
- Provide any needed assistance requested by the Product Leader
Authority:
- Recommend pricing on behalf of customer needs to the Commercial Sales Manager
- Recommend delivery requirements to the Product Leader
- Not authorized to bind the company in any contract
Relationships:
- Reports to the Commercial Sales Manager
- Internal contacts: managers and team members at all company locations
- External contacts: customers, businesses and trade associations, social organizations, and other groups as necessary to the sale of energy products
Expected Results:
- Meet or exceed assigned sales goals
- Complete 80% quarterly objectives as agreed upon with the Commercial Sales Manager
- Retain 95% of existing customers within established margins
- Record all touches in Salesforce by close of business each business day
- Complete 100% of To-Dos
