About This Position

Role Overview:

Shift: Monday – Friday, day shift. Some flexibility in schedule will be required based on the needs of the Operation.

Pay: $75,000 - $85,000 annually

Benefits: Full benefits following 30 days of employment

The Industrial Engineer will be reporting directly to the Sr. Director of Operations.

Job Description

The goal of this position is to ensure the consistent delivery of operational processes and results. The person in this role will conduct studies to improve efficiency and establish a standard production rate in the performance of people operations. Additionally, they will provide support and troubleshooting for current operations. They will investigate, gather, and analyze data regarding the sequence of operations and workflow to improve efficiencies on-site, including equipment layouts. This person will establish methods for maximum utilization of the warehouse facility and personnel, and make recommendations and/or implement solutions.

  • Works in conjunction with site management team in regards to operational performance and reports findings/recommendations to site leadership.
  • Innovates and implements cost reduction, quality, safety and ergonomic improvement ideas of moderate scope.
  • Applies electronic tools across a broad range of applications, including SAP, AutoCAD, MS Project and Production Engineer Labor Standards, modelling and simulations.
  • Develops and implements plans to support warehousing/logistics operations. Designs operations layouts.
  • Optimizes process flows and productivity for Goods-to-Person Automation
  • Provide recommendations on DC network and inventory strategy.
  • Improves production flow and presentation.
  • Monitors, compiles and reports Key Performance Initiative (KPI).
  • Leads team studies related to capacity, energy, productivity and efficiency of moderate scope.
  • Leads analysis, development and implementation of new operations processes and technology.
  • Champion Continuous Improvement Process initiatives across customer site.
  • Ensure the transfer of best practices across customer sites.
  • Execution of Customer projects / strategic initiative(s).
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in related discipline or equivalent, required
  • 0-4 years of experience in distribution or logistics, required
  • Experience with distribution, logistics, project management, preferred
