Job Description

Summary of Position:

The Financial Analyst plays a key role insupporting the JCC's Finance Department with financial planning, budgeting, andinternal reporting processes. This role partners closely with department headsto help them understand and manage their budgets, while providing clear,actionable financial insights to support decision-making across theorganization. The Financial Analyst is a key member of the Finance team,responsible for preparing and distributing monthly financial reports,supporting the annual budgeting process, and analyzing program-levelperformance

This full-time, overtimeexempt role, reporting to the Senior Director of Finance, serves as a bridgebetween the Finance Department and program staff. The ideal candidate isa collaborative, analytically minded professional who enjoys working with bothdata and people in a mission-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Support the development and coordinationof the annual operating budget across all departments
  • Work directly with department leaders tobuild, refine, and manage their budgets
  • Ensure consistency, accuracy, andcompleteness of budget inputs
  • Support organizational forecastingprocesses, including quarterly or periodic updates
  • Assist in developing financial models andscenario analyses
  • Track key financial and operationalmetrics to inform projections
  • Other relevant duties as assigned

Financial Analysis & Reporting

  • Prepareand distribute monthly departmental financial (P&L) reports in a timelymanner
  • Ensurereports are clear, accurate, and user-friendly
  • Analyzeprogram-level financial performance, including revenue and expense
  • Serveas a financial resource to department heads to:
    • Identify and analyzeroot causes of financial variances
    • Follow up ondiscrepancies, missing information, or unexpected results
    • Foster a culture offinancial awareness and accountability
  • Identifytrends, risks, and opportunities across departments and programs
  • Partnerwith Accounting Manager to maintain consistency between internal reports andfinancial statements

Data Management & Systems

  • Extract,organize, and analyze financial data from accounting and operational systems
  • Ensuredata accuracy and alignment across systems
  • Supportimprovements in financial reporting tools, dashboards, and processes
  • Assistin maintaining reporting templates and documentation

Qualifications &Skills:

  • Bachelor'sdegree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, or related field
  • 3+years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, operations, or relatedfield
  • Stronganalytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advancedproficiency in Microsoft Excel required
  • Abilityto organize and interpret data clearly and accurately
  • Strongcommunication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectivelywith non-financial staff
  • Detail-orientedwith strong organizational and time management skills
  • Experiencewith financial systems, reporting tools, or dashboards preferred

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to sitfor extended periods while working at a computer
  • Frequent useof hands and fingers for typing, data entry, and operating office equipment
  • Ability toview a computer screen for prolonged periods
  • Occasionalstanding, walking, bending and reaching
  • Ability tocommunicate clearly, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability tolift and move light materials, typically up to 15 pounds

Salary Range: $70,000 - $75,000annually; commensurate with experience
