Medical Tech Resource Pool at tgmctest – Houma, Louisiana

The basic function of the Medical Technologist is to perform various laboratory procedures to the best of his/her ability and report these clinical findings to the physician to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum of a BS degree and specialized training to obtain certification as a Medical Technologist and licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist.

2. Familiarity with medical terminology is required.

3. Basic computer literacy is required.

4. Experience with Windows, word-processing, spreadsheets, graphics, and databases is preferred.
