💵 Pay Rate: $16.00/hour (Pay Range: OP-1)
🕗 Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Tresco, Inc. is seeking a skilled and motivated Grounds & Rest Area Maintenance Worker to help maintain rest areas and surrounding grounds in top condition. If you have a green thumb, love working outdoors, and are handy with repairs, this is your opportunity to make a lasting impact on our highways and communities.

• Perform grounds maintenance per contract standards (mowing, trimming, landscaping, and weed control)

• Operate and maintain tractors, hand mowers, and other landscaping equipment

• Assist with sprinkler system and irrigation repairs (Rain Bird valves, timers, pipes, and wiring)

• Service tractors and equipment (greasing, oiling, and checking fluids)

• Repair and replace fencing, including digging post holes and installing tie wire

• Maintain septic tanks and leach line areas

• Support repair technicians and complete special projects as assigned

• Meet with NMDOT personnel when needed

• Interact professionally with the public when necessary

• Keep vehicles and equipment in proper working condition

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED

Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years experience in grounds maintenance, irrigation systems, and operating mowing/tractor equipment

Licenses/Certifications:

• Valid driver’s license required

Other Requirements:

• Must pass a background check and MVR screening

• Post-offer drug screening required

• Must be eligible to obtain NACI clearance (for federal work)
