Summary Description
nbkc bank is currently looking for an Online Branch Manager, AVP to join our Retail team.
The Online Branch Manager is responsible for managing nbkc bank’s nationwide portfolio of online customers. You will lead a team to efficiently manage the online application process and service traditional banking needs of customers across the country.
This position will work @Flex (a combination of both in the office and at home) based out of our Kansas City, MO headquarters. We’re looking for someone who is excited to come into the office 3-5 days each week while still enjoying the flexibility to work from home.
What you’ll do
Deposit Growth
- Drive customer acquisition through local business development and nationwide outreach efforts.
- Analyze the existing customer portfolio to identify growth opportunities and expand relationships.
- Lead initiatives designed to enhance customer retention across the portfolio.
Customer Experience
- Model an elevated customer experience that reflects the bank’s mission to make banking simple, transparent and actually helpful.
- Identify, research and resolve complex, escalated customer service issues using sound judgment that includes the ability to recognize and evaluate risk.
Team Development and Engagement
- Utilize effective coaching to identify, communicate and track development of individual team members.
- Empower and train team members to elevate their skill level and decision-making abilities.
- Clearly communicate with team members regarding progress toward team goals and the status of projects across the bank.
- Inspire team as an agent of change, display agility in day-to-day tasks and broader strategic initiatives.
Operational Efficiency
- Drive operational efficiencies by leading initiatives, engaging key stakeholders, utilizing resources, and fostering cross-departmental collaboration to achieve desired outcomes.
- Ensure all bank policies and procedures are followed for all duties of the position.
What you’ll bring
- High school diploma or GED required
- 5+ years’ experience in banking with operations experience
- At least 3 years’ experience in an elevated leadership role or at least one year of nbkc supervisory experience
- A passion for providing outstanding customer service and the ability to teach others to do the same
- Must be a team player who can work with a team of individuals to perform a variety of tasks, working toward common branch and bank objectives.
- Must possess ability to collaborate in a cross-departmental environment
- Knowledge of retail banking products/services and bank regulations/compliance, preferred
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
