This is a senior, strategic consulting leadership role focused on helping enterprise organizations turn complex technology challenges into high-impact solutions.
You’ll operate at the intersection of business strategy, software engineering, cloud, data, and AI innovation.
The role combines executive-level client engagement with hands-on solution architecture, discovery, and pre-sales leadership.
You’ll shape compelling proposals, proofs of concept, and technology roadmaps that connect client objectives with measurable business outcomes.
Working closely with Sales, Marketing, Delivery, and technical specialists, you’ll influence opportunities from early discovery through successful transition into delivery.
You’ll also contribute to the continued growth of an AI-focused consulting practice by developing new approaches, sharing expertise, and identifying emerging opportunities.
This is a fully remote permanent position in Canada, with a preference for candidates based in the Toronto area and regular travel to the United States.
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, Delivery, and other business functions to develop strategic enterprise relationships and identify opportunities for AI and technology-led transformation.
- Act as a senior subject matter expert across AI, software, cloud, and data technologies, understanding client challenges and translating them into tailored solutions.
- Lead discovery sessions, workshops, pre-sales engagements, RFP responses, proposals, and executive presentations.
- Develop proofs of concept, reference architectures, and technical demonstrations that illustrate the feasibility and business value of proposed solutions.
- Translate client objectives into actionable solution architectures and roadmaps, collaborating with software, data, AI, design, and engineering specialists.
- Facilitate conversations with technical and non-technical stakeholders, clearly explaining technology choices, trade-offs, risks, and expected outcomes.
- Support early-stage delivery activities to ensure a smooth transition from sales and solution design into project execution.
- Build compelling case studies, success stories, and other materials that communicate the value and impact of AI and technology solutions.
- Work with sales teams to shape, position, and successfully land strategic enterprise opportunities.
- Contribute to the development and expansion of the AI practice by identifying innovations, refining consulting methodologies, and sharing best practices across teams.
- Engage confidently with VP- and C-level stakeholders and establish trusted relationships with enterprise decision-makers.
- Help balance customer needs, technical feasibility, commercial objectives, and delivery considerations when shaping solutions.
- 12+ years of experience in software engineering and technical leadership, ideally gained in consulting, pre-sales, account development, technology, or digital services environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with solution architecture, software architecture, cloud platforms, and AI-native software engineering practices.
- Demonstrated ability to lead client workshops, uncover business and technical needs, evaluate use cases, explain solution trade-offs, and align stakeholders around effective solutions.
- Working proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python or JavaScript.
- Strong understanding of AI technologies, data pipelines, and major cloud ecosystems such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Proven experience engaging executive-level stakeholders, including VP- and C-suite audiences, within enterprise organizations.
- Demonstrated success leading discovery, pre-sales, solution design, proposal development, and technical sales engagements.
- Track record of partnering with sales teams to shape and successfully close complex technology opportunities.
- Excellent written, verbal, storytelling, and presentation skills, with the ability to translate sophisticated technical concepts into clear business value.
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to connect technology investments with measurable customer outcomes.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across Sales, Marketing, Delivery, Finance, and multidisciplinary technical teams.
- Strategic, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify opportunities, operate with autonomy, and influence stakeholders in complex environments.
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently to the United States as required.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada and able to travel to the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
- Permanent, full-time remote position for candidates based and authorized to work in Canada.
