Research Associate I, Microbiology and Immunology (Onsite) in Galveston, Texas at University of Texas Medical Branch

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in basic science or equivalent; no experience required.

Job Description:

Performs varying standardized laboratory assignments and experiments.

Job Duties:

• Performs routine and non-routine research assignments as designed by the PI of the laboratory.
• Maintains inventory of all laboratory supplies related to research, documentation of research data, update chemical and lab inventory.
• Lab ordering related to ongoing projects, annual inspection.
• Perform biological assays and conduct quantitative and qualitative assays (examples: Imaging, immunohistochemistry, histology, RT-qPCR,
  
  Western blotting, cell culture, animal studies, statistical analysis, data management etc.)

Preferred Skills

• Strong communication skills, and basic managing skills
• Good with computer software, and some experience in big data analysis

Salary Range:
Commensurate with experience
