At Phocas, we help businesses feel good about data, and we believe great design is a huge part of that. We're looking for a Graduate Designer to join our brand team on a one year fixed term contract. You are someone with strong design instincts, genuine curiosity about AI-enabled creative tools, and an appetite to learn how a scalable, on-brand system actually gets built (not just used).

Reporting to the Head of Brand, you will be focused on the build phase of our AI-enabled brand system, including templates, prompt libraries, and generative workflows that let teams across Phocas create confidently on-brand without waiting on a designer for every asset. Alongside that, you'll get involved to produce production-ready creative for major campaigns and product launches, digital ads, landing pages, emails, event and sales collateral, and keep our asset library organised so the whole business can self-serve.

This is a genuine entry-level role, designed to build your commercial design craft while you learn how modern, AI-enabled brand systems work from the inside.

By the end of your year with us, you'll have built a real, reusable library of templates, AI workflows, and brand assets that other teams rely on, and you'll be delivering quality, on-brand work to brief and on time, needing less revision as you go. Along the way, you'll be learning our brand and tools, and building and publishing work for wider use.

What you'll bring

• Strong design craft: typography, layout, colour, and visual hierarchy, evidenced by a considered portfolio of finished and in-progress work
• Genuine curiosity about generative AI tools, with a hands-on appetite to test, learn, and document what actually works
• Confidence in Adobe Creative Cloud and Figma; motion and video skills (After Effects or similar) are a bonus
• Clear communication, coachability, and the ability to juggle a few things at once without losing quality

You'll get structured onboarding into our brand, tools, and ways of working, regular 1:1s and creative direction from the Head of Brand, clearly prioritised briefs and time to actually experiment with AI and generative tools. You will get real exposure to how brand decisions get made as this is a graduate role built to genuinely develop you.
