Senior Software Engineer to join its Compensation domain, where engineering decisions directly shape how organizations design and manage pay structures. This role focuses on building scalable, highly reliable systems that handle complex compensation scenarios used by thousands of companies. You will work across a modern full-stack environment, contributing to both backend and frontend services in a highly collaborative product engineering team. The role offers the opportunity to solve deeply technical challenges while ensuring accuracy, trust, and performance in mission-critical workflows. You will partner closely with product managers and designers to translate real customer needs into robust technical solutions. Beyond feature delivery, you will influence engineering practices, contribute to system architecture, and help elevate the technical craft of the team. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable compensation-related systems that serve complex customer needs while ensuring accuracy and reliability. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end product features and solve high-impact technical challenges.

• Build and maintain production-grade applications across a modern stack including TypeScript, React, GraphQL, Node, and PostgreSQL
• Design and optimize data models and queries to support complex compensation logic and high-volume usage
• Lead execution of cross-functional projects in collaboration with product and design teams
• Contribute to system architecture decisions and improve engineering best practices
• Mentor junior engineers and support their technical growth and onboarding
• Investigate production issues, identify root causes, and implement long-term solutions to improve system stability

Requirements:
You bring strong software engineering experience and a track record of building scalable production systems in fast-paced environments. You are comfortable working across the stack and solving complex, data-driven problems.

• 5+ years of experience developing and maintaining production-level applications
• Proficiency in modern programming languages such as TypeScript, Ruby, or Python
• Strong experience working with relational databases, especially PostgreSQL, including data modeling and query optimization
• Experience operating and scaling services in production environments
• Ability to debug complex issues and improve system reliability through monitoring and operational awareness
• Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain technical decisions and tradeoffs
• Passion for mentoring and supporting fellow engineers
