About the Role:
The Warehouse Assistant plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of the healthcare supply chain by managing the receipt, storage, and distribution of medical and general supplies. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring that all materials are handled safely and in compliance with healthcare regulations. The Warehouse Assistant supports the overall logistics process by preparing shipments, organizing stock, and assisting with loading and unloading deliveries. By maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment, this role helps to minimize errors and delays that could impact patient care and operational efficiency. Ultimately, the Warehouse Assistant contributes to the seamless flow of essential healthcare products within the organization, supporting both clinical and administrative functions.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of inventory control and shipping/receiving processes.
- Ability to perform manual labor including lifting up to 50 lbs repeatedly, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety standards and procedures.
- Detail oriented.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with electronic inventory management systems.
- Pharmacy tech experience.
- Knowledge of healthcare supply chain regulations and compliance requirements.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Operate dollies and carts to move, load, and unload materials safely within the warehouse.
- Maintain accurate inventory control by conducting regular stock counts and updating inventory management systems.
- Prepare and package outgoing shipments according to healthcare industry standards and shipping regulations.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment by following established safety protocols and procedures.
