Industrial Fabricator- Mesh Cutting & Fabrication

Location: Lake in the Hills, IL

Schedule: Monday-Friday 5am-1:30pm

Compensation: $17.40/hr

AFC is seeking an Industrial Fabricator to join our team. The Industrial Fabricator will be responsible for converting raw materials into finished products for conveyor belts or custom products for select industries. The ideal candidate will have experience operating heat sealers, hand sealers, lacing machines, and other tools to create high-quality products according to customer specifications.

What You'll Do

• Operate heat sealer, hand sealer, lacing machine, and other tools to convert raw materials into finished products.
• Accurately measure, mark, and cut long lengths of mesh material to specified dimensions, maintaining precise measurements and minimizing material waste.
• Read and interpret work orders and production specifications to determine required material lengths, dimensions, and quantities paying close attention to detail.
• Hand stitch, iron, and create belts from raw materials according to customer specifications in a job shop environment.
• Place correct end and lacing to belt.
• Fabricate other parts other than belting.
• Roll, tape, and apply correct pins to belt.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong ability to accurately measure, mark, and cut long lengths of mesh or similar flexible materials.
• Demonstrated experience working with measuring tools and maintaining precise dimensions over long material lengths.
• Knowledge of ERP system a plus.
