About the FacilityIsuzu North America Corporation is investing approximately $280 million to build a new manufacturing facility in Greenville County, South Carolina.
The 1-million-square-foot, state-of-the-art production plant, located on more than 200 acres, will feature a flexible manufacturing line capable of producing both internal combustion and electric vehicles.

The Electro-mechanic is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing both mechanical and electrical components of automated and production equipment. This role ensures machinery operates safely and efficiently to support consistent vehicle manufacturing. Working closely with Engineering, Maintenance, and Production teams, the Electro-mechanic performs preventive maintenance, repairs, calibrations, and supports continuous improvement efforts for equipment reliability.
Responsibilities- Installs, maintains, and repairs mechanical and electrical components of production machinery and automated systems
- Troubleshoots and resolves mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical failures to minimize equipment downtime
- Performs preventive and predictive maintenance on motors, drives, pumps, gearboxes, sensors, and actuators
- Reads and interprets technical schematics, wiring diagrams, manuals, and mechanical drawings
- Collaborates with Engineering and Maintenance teams on equipment upgrades, installations, and system improvements
- Maintains accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and inspections using CMMS
- Calibrates and tests equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation
- Follows all safety guidelines including OSHA, NFPA 70E, and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures
- Provides technical support during equipment start-up and troubleshooting activities
- Performs other duties as assigned to support company and department goals
- High school diploma or GED required
- Technical or trade school training in electro-mechanical systems, industrial maintenance, or related field preferred
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in industrial electromechanical maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing or automotive environment
- Experience with motors, drives, sensors, basic PLCs, and automated production equipment
- Familiarity with CMMS and preventive maintenance systems
- Strong understanding of both mechanical systems (e.g., conveyors, gearboxes, pumps) and electrical components (e.g., sensors, motors, relays)
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and wiring diagrams
- Skilled in using diagnostic tools, hand tools, and electrical testing equipment
- Knowledge of safety standards including LOTO, OSHA, and NFPA 70E
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a collaborative maintenance team
