Job Description

Description:

Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren s.c. is currently seeking a Paralegal for our Trust Services team in our Milwaukee office. We are looking for an entry-level paralegal, eager to learn new skills while supporting a team whose services include back office support for trustees, ensuring they fulfill their fiduciary duties to both grantors and beneficiaries. This position is ideal for someone with a non-legal background but with a high attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with administration of various types of irrevocable trusts as assigned.

• Assist with and prepare trust accountings using department-specific software (training provided).

• Assist with intake and compliance procedures for new trusts.

• Assist with ongoing maintenance of department-specific tracking programs.

Requirements:

Education: The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree. Paralegal certificate is a plus but not required.

Other:

  • Demonstrated proficiency and experience working with Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook and excellent computer and internet skills are required.
  • Qualified candidates must possess exceptional organizational skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, extraordinary attention to detail, a strong commitment to efficiency and accuracy, and the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Qualified individuals must be comfortable working independently and in a team atmosphere.
  • This position also requires critical thinking, problem-solving, and the willingness to ask questions and to follow up as needed to ensure numerous deadlines are met.
  • This position does not require prior trust administration or trust accounting experience, but you must be a quick learner with an active interest in acquiring and applying new skills.
  • The successful candidate will also be committed to and enthusiastic about using strong client service strategies, primarily working with the Trust Services team at first and gradually taking on more client-facing activities.

Physical Demands and/or Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to use a keyboard, calculator, and telephone. Frequent sitting, talking, hearing, and occasionally stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, lift 10 lbs., and an ability to adjust vision for close vision work.
