UMass Memorial Health, the leading health and wellness system in Central Massachusetts, is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Division of Cardiology, Heart Failure Program at UMass Memorial Medical Center. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established and growing program and play an integral role in the care of patients with complex and advanced cardiovascular disease.
This new opportunity supports the growing needs of the Heart Failure Program's specialty clinics. The APP will work alongside physician and APP leaders across pulmonary hypertension, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, cardiac transplant, and cardiac amyloidosis, with a lead role in formalizing and developing the Cardiac Amyloidosis Clinic.
As an Advanced Practice Provider, you will provide autonomous clinical management, patient education, and multidisciplinary care for patients with complex cardiovascular conditions while contributing to the development and growth of specialty clinic programs.

- Specialty Clinical Practice: Provide comprehensive care across pulmonary hypertension, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, cardiac transplant, and cardiac amyloidosis programs, with a leadership role in developing the Cardiac Amyloidosis Clinic.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Care: Evaluate, manage, and provide longitudinal follow-up for patients with complex heart failure and related conditions.
- Autonomous & Collaborative Care: Independently manage complex cardiovascular patients while working closely with cardiologists, APPs, nurses, pharmacists, and other specialists.
- Program Development: Contribute to the growth, development, and standardization of specialty clinic programs.
- Academic Environment: Practice within a leading academic medical center with access to advanced subspecialty expertise, resources, and opportunities for professional growth.
- Technology: Utilize Epic electronic medical record system.
Qualifications
Required:
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- Current NP or PA certification
- Eligibility for Massachusetts licensure
- Strong clinical, communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
- Ability to practice autonomously while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Preferred:
- Previous APP experience in cardiology, heart failure, critical care, or a related specialty
- Experience caring for patients with complex cardiovascular disease
- Experience with or interest in pulmonary hypertension, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, cardiac amyloidosis, advanced heart failure, or cardiac transplantation
- Interest or experience in clinical program development
