Senior IT Support Specialist in San Francisco (Hybrid), California at Sher Edling LLP

Sher Edling seeks a Senior IT Support Specialist to join our IT team and provide Level 1-3 technical support to attorneys and staff. The position is responsible for independently diagnosing and resolving complex hardware, software, connectivity, and user-support issues, while assisting the IT Manager with systems administration, security, infrastructure, technology projects, and ongoing improvements to the Firm’s IT environment.

Core Responsibilities

• Technical Support: Manage daily Help Desk requests and troubleshoot hardware, software, operating systems, laptops, mobile devices, and other technology issues.
• System Administration: Support the Firm’s IT infrastructure, devices, and cloud services; assist with system maintenance, audits, performance monitoring, and improvements.
• User Support & Training: Set up technology for new employees and provide onsite and remote support. Assist with employee training on technology, software, and IT best practices.
• Security & Compliance: Assist with maintaining the security of the Firm's systems and data by following and implementing established security protocols, monitoring potential vulnerabilities, and escalating security concerns to the IT Manager.
• IT Projects: Assist the IT Manager with technology projects, including system upgrades, software deployments, infrastructure improvements, and other Firm-wide initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or a minimum of 7 years of experience in IT Support.
• In-depth knowledge of Windows, iOS, and common software applications.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to respond, manage change, and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Annual compensation range for this position is $95,000 - $115,000, depending on experience.
