This is a senior consulting leadership role focused on delivering high-quality Workday Extend solutions while developing a distributed team of consultants and architects. You will own a portfolio of client engagements, providing strategic oversight across delivery, budgets, timelines, risks, and stakeholder relationships. The role combines people leadership, client management, practice development, and strategic business leadership. You will work closely with consulting, integrations, product, and leadership teams to strengthen the Extend offering and continuously improve delivery standards. A key part of the position is mentoring technical talent and creating an environment where consultants can grow their expertise and careers. You will also contribute to pre-sales, proposals, practice strategy, and long-term business growth. This is an opportunity to shape a growing Workday Extend practice while having direct influence on client outcomes and organizational direction.

Accountabilities:
  • Own a portfolio of Workday Extend clients, providing strategic oversight and ensuring consistent delivery quality across engagements.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a distributed team of consultants and architects, supporting career progression, technical development, engagement, and performance.

  • Provide oversight of project budgets, timelines, risks, scope, delivery quality, and client communications.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with client stakeholders, serving as a senior point of contact for escalations and complex delivery matters.

  • Lead escalation management and proactively address challenges to maintain client confidence and strengthen long-term partnerships.

  • Partner with Integrations, Product, and other practice leaders to shape the strategic direction and continued maturity of the Workday Extend offering.

  • Contribute to practice strategy, planning, and decision-making, connecting operational priorities with broader business and ecosystem objectives.

  • Guide pre-sales activities, solution positioning, proposal development, and other business development initiatives that support practice growth.

  • Identify opportunities to expand client relationships and strengthen the value delivered through Extend solutions.

  • Drive continuous improvements to consulting methodologies, tools, processes, delivery standards, and best practices.

  • Establish and reinforce consistent approaches to project delivery, quality management, and client engagement across the practice.

  • Represent the Extend consulting team in leadership forums and contribute to strategic planning and organizational initiatives.

  • Demonstrate an ownership mindset by taking initiative, solving problems proactively, and connecting day-to-day decisions to long-term strategic outcomes.

Requirements:
  • Senior-level consulting experience with Workday Extend and Orchestrations, including strong knowledge of the associated Workday ecosystem.

  • Proven experience managing and developing remote or geographically distributed consulting teams.

  • Demonstrated success overseeing client portfolios and delivering high-quality consulting engagements.

  • Strong understanding of project delivery management, including budgets, timelines, risks, client communication, and quality standards.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, consultants, architects, executives, and cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to navigate complex client relationships and escalations.

  • Demonstrated strategic thinking and the ability to connect day-to-day consulting activities with broader business and practice objectives.

  • Proven track record of client success, team development, and practice growth.

  • Experience contributing to pre-sales strategy, proposal development, solution positioning, or business development is preferred.

  • Ability to identify opportunities for improving methodologies, processes, tools, and delivery standards.

  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills, with a genuine interest in developing technical consulting talent.

  • Self-directed, accountable, commercially aware, and comfortable taking ownership of strategic outcomes.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively across consulting, integrations, product, and leadership functions.

  • Willingness and ability to travel up to approximately 5% annually.

  • Must have authorization to work in Canada without requiring current or future visa sponsorship.

Benefits:
  • Full-time, remote position based in Canada.

  • Opportunity to lead and shape a growing Workday Extend consulting practice.

  • Significant influence over practice strategy, delivery standards, and long-term growth.

  • Leadership opportunity combining people management, client strategy, consulting delivery, and business development.

  • Opportunity to mentor and develop a distributed team of Workday consultants and architects.

  • Exposure to Workday Extend, Orchestrations, integrations, and the broader Workday ecosystem.

  • Collaborative environment focused on professional development, innovation, and high-quality client outcomes.

  • Opportunity to contribute to strategic leadership discussions and practice-wide initiatives.

  • Flexible remote working environment.

  • Limited travel requirement of approximately 5% annually.
