Senior Financial Analyst

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst based in the United States.

This role offers the opportunity to shape financial strategy and support high-impact business decisions within an international, technology-driven environment. As a trusted partner to the CFO and senior leadership, you will lead financial analysis, corporate development initiatives, and investor reporting. You will play a key role in mergers and acquisitions, financial planning, performance tracking, and post-deal integration. By combining advanced financial modeling with AI-assisted analytics and automation, you will help modernize financial processes and deliver actionable insights. You will also oversee financial and royalty reporting, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with contractual obligations. Working remotely from the US East or West Coast and collaborating with colleagues across Europe, you will contribute directly to strategic growth and long-term business performance.

Accountabilities:

You will lead financial analysis, corporate development, planning, and reporting activities while helping leadership make informed strategic decisions. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Lead mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and corporate development initiatives, including target screening, valuation, deal modeling, financial due diligence, and coordination with external advisors.

  • Support post-acquisition integration by tracking synergies, harmonizing financial reporting, and incorporating acquired businesses into established planning and reporting cycles.

  • Prepare investor-facing and executive materials, including monthly and quarterly investor reports, Board presentations, management updates, and responses to shareholder and lender requests.

  • Own the annual budget and periodic forecasting processes, maintaining financial models and conducting scenario analyses to support strategic decisions.

  • Introduce AI-assisted tools and automated workflows to enhance financial planning and analysis (FP&A), driver-based forecasting, predictive modeling, and executive reporting.

  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), translating financial and operational data into clear insights and actionable recommendations for leadership.

  • Lead internal financial and royalty reporting, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery.

  • Oversee royalty reporting, accounting, and distribution, interpreting licensing agreements and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and the US licensing landscape, including the Mechanical Licensing Collective (MLC), performance rights organizations (PROs), and Copyright Royalty Board (CRB) rates.

  • Conduct strategic analyses covering market trends, industry benchmarks, competitors, pricing, and profitability.

  • Identify critical business challenges and develop intervention strategies in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.

  • Improve financial processes, systems, and tools to strengthen efficiency, reporting quality, and decision-making.

  • Partner with the Accounting team on month-end and year-end close, audits, and cross-functional initiatives.

  • Collaborate with colleagues across the US and Europe to support financial planning, reporting, and strategic projects.

  • Mentor or support junior team members while contributing to the development of the financial analysis and reporting function.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate combines strong financial expertise with hands-on M&A experience, advanced analytical capabilities, and the ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders. The following qualifications are expected:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Management Engineering, Accounting, or a related field. An MBA, CFA, or CPA qualification is a plus.

  • At least 6 years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, transaction services, private equity, or financial planning and analysis, ideally within technology, media, or financial services.

  • Practical experience managing M&A activities, including valuation, financial modeling, due diligence, and post-deal integration.

  • Experience preparing investor and Board materials, preferably in a private equity-backed or venture capital-backed organization.

  • Advanced financial modeling skills and a strong understanding of financial statements, US GAAP, and corporate financial reporting. Knowledge of IFRS is an advantage.

  • Hands-on expertise in AI-assisted modeling and financial analytics, including the use of AI and large language model (LLM) tools, modern business intelligence platforms, relational databases such as SQL, and automated financial workflows.

  • Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, complemented by the ability to leverage modern tools to improve financial analysis and reporting.

  • Knowledge of royalty management or finance within the music and entertainment industry is a strong advantage.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to engage with senior executives, Board members, and investors.

  • Experience mentoring or managing junior team members.

  • Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.

  • Authorization to work in the United States.

Benefits:
  • Annual base salary ranging from $145,000 to $180,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

  • Eligibility for a bonus.

  • Health insurance.

  • Retirement plan.

  • Paid time off.

  • Full-time employment.

  • Remote work within the United States, with the position available to candidates based on the East Coast or West Coast.
